Meet Nic

Rooted in UA. Shaping Our Future.

A Life Built in Upper Arlington

Vibrant communities are built on relationships, collaboration, and consistently showing up for one another with care. I'm raising my own family in the city that raised me, alongside my wife Erin and our two children. Whether I'm coaching youth lacrosse, organizing community conversations, or volunteering at the schools, I've spent decades building trust across UA.

As a child, I often struggled to see myself reflected in the community around me. That lack of representation led me to reflect deeply on my own identity and sense of place. Those early experiences have shaped how I lead today: with empathy, honesty, and a drive to make space for everyone in the community.

Investing in the Next Generation

One of my proudest roles has been leading Leadership Upper Arlington, where I mentored 139 high school students in helping them discover their civic voice, purpose, and role in shaping the world around them.

I co-created UA's Alumni Youth Ambassador Program, mentored capstone students at UAHS, and have been a repeat speaker at UA Idea Day, facilitating conversations with youth on topics such as identity, leadership, and inclusion.

Inspiring Civic Participation

I helped create the City of UA's first Community Relations Committee, served as President of the UA Alumni Council, and am a founding board member of Equal UA. Today, I serve as a Trustee with the Upper Arlington Education Foundation, am active in NetworkUA, and speak regularly at local events.

I'm especially passionate about UA's new community center. I see it as a place where neighbors can connect, learn, and grow together.

Delivering Real-World Experience You Can Trust

Professionally, I work on the Appraisal Team at The Robert Weiler Company and am a licensed real estate agent. My expertise spans residential, commercial, and industrial appraisals across the Midwest, providing me with valuable insight into how cities grow and who they serve.

Why He’s Running

Upper Arlington's future will be shaped by how we show up for each other today. I'm running for City Council to help build a UA that invests in people, welcomes new ideas, so that every resident sees themselves reflected in the place we call home.
