Nic Fortkamp brings a proven record of real results to the table. As a trusted civic leader and real estate professional, Nic knows how to get things done by engaging and bringing people together to do it.
Born at St. Ann’s Hospital, adopted and raised in UA, Nic’s journey hasn't always been easy. He faced challenges as a minority, struggled with learning differences, and had to manage self-doubt as a student. These experiences fueled his deep commitment to ensuring everyone feels welcome and supported in their community. Today, Nic is running for City Council to strengthen the connections that make UA such a special place to live.
Whether leading LeadershipUA, working with our youth through our UA Education Foundation and coaching lacrosse, or helping create the city’s first Community Relations Committee, Nic consistently shows up with care and a focus on service. Across generations, he is recognized as someone who listens, builds trust, and brings people together to make a positive action.
Nic believes that when we take care of one another, our whole community gets stronger. He’s proud to raise his family in the city that raised him—and ready to serve the people who call it home.
